Often good value but focusing on only three of the ski resorts, this is a good place to start for the less adventurous, but not a good one if on a major budget or looking for a late deal.
This is often the first choice for "BG Virgins" as the hard work is done for you.
For an all inclusive price you will usually have the choice of the three main resorts, Pamporovo, Bansko and Borovets.
Bansko - 2.5 hours - 65km
Borovets - 1 hour - 59km
Pamporovo - 3 hours - 49km
The tour company will arrange your charted flight, airport transfer and accommodation for a set fee. There is usually the option to pre-book your ski or snowboard kit before you arrive along with ski passes and lessons.
If you do book a package you can always take some time out of your own resort to check out the other local ski stations so it doesn't really limit you too much.
Just be aware that most tour companies will make a little something on every little thing they sell you on the holiday and you can often get cheaper outside the hotel front door.
This may be daunting for less experienced travelers but this is the reason we set up this guide in the first place!
Nowadays, there is a good deal of choice from low cost carriers such as Easy Jet and Wizz Air who will bring you to Bulgaria for around 100 Euros return (average not including ski/board carriage).
Once you have selected the resort you want to visit, go to the relevant page on our guide and look up Recommended Transfer Companies for that area. Alternatively, you may wish to rent a car for ultimate freedom to explore!
The choice of accommodation is yours and don't forget, Bulgaria has been hit by the economic crisis as much as the next country so there are always deals to be had!
