In this section we look at each resort and station in detail but, it is worth knowing the difference between a "ski station" and a "ski resort".

A ski station tends to be a lot more basic than the nearby ski resort. the lift/s are probably smaller and older and the number of runs are limited as are the facilities to maintain them. There doesn't tend to be a huge amount going on around the ski stations after the lifts have closed but they are still well worth a look especially if you find your "mother resort" too busy or "skied out".
