International Restaurants in Bansko

There is (almost) something for every taste in Bansko when it comes to dinning. As we have been working in the area for several years now we have had the pleasure of experiencing the best (and the worst) that the resort has to offer.

In this part of the guide we try and help you select, based on our own staff reviews, the best places to get exactly what you want and need after a hard day on the hill.

Track Bar

Stay off the tracks!

The Track Bar is in it's second year in Bansko and offers excellent (and good value) food, drinks, cocktails and a party that's hard to beat!

Queens Pub

Bansko gets it's very own "Super Pub"!

Bansko is for sure, the fastest growing ski resort in Bulgaria. The 2011/12 season sees the evolution going to the next level as Pirin Street gets a makeover.

La Skara Grill Restaurant

La Skara is another new addition to the fine dining options in Bansko, but this restaurant has a twist! You cook most of the food yourself!

The Friendly Pub (Fortuna Complex)

Another restaurant-cum-bar, which sees a great deal of activity is the Friendly Pub in the Fortuna Complex up near the Gondola.

Ivo (the owner) prides himself on his great steaks (imported from Brazil) as well as his pizzas which can be taken away too.

Daks Irish Pub

Daks Irish Pub is located right next to the Kempinski below the Sports Hotel at the top of Pirin Street and is also new to Bansko this year but believe us, these guys know what they are doing!

Zone Zero Restaurant

Restaurant Zone Zero is located in the Bansko Royal Towers complex and offers a unique menu with even more unique options after dinner!

The Crown

Just around the corner from the Fortuna Complex is The Crown Pub.

Huge (and excellent) menu which is tailored towards family dining but beware!

It can get very lively here after dark!

The London Pub

The London Pub (Located in the Glazne Quarter) has a motto, “Walk in and dance out” and based on experience there has never been a motto more true!

Harry's Bar (Kandahar Complex)

If you follow the road to the right of The Friendly (as you look at it) up the hill and turn left when you get to the Emerald Resort, a few meters on you come to Harry’s Bar in the Kandahar Complex.

The Irish Pub

The Irish Bar (run by Gemma and Rob from Bristol) offer FINE range of "proper homemade fare. It's probably the most popular hangout for the resident expats who flock here for the bangers and mash and homemade burgers.

The Lions Pub

Traditional English/Irish fare can be found in many places but one of the most notable is the British Lions Pub at the top of Pirin Street.

JJ Murphy's

In Sofia, JJ Murphy’s Irish Pub is an institution amongst the locals and widely regarded as a place where good friends meet. This is the second season that Murphy’s has been in Bansko and not only do you get the fantastic hospitality and excellent food you would expect in any self respecting Irish pub, but they also have their own apartments above the pub which make dealing with all the après ski so much easier!

By The Way Bar & Diner

By The Way Bar & Diner is in Bansko for the second ski season this year but from the very start of the season has proved popular for a number of reasons.
