Mall of Bansko

The Mall of Bansko (located right next to Bansko Royal Towers and the main car park for the gondola station) opened in early 2010 and is a haven for those looking for anything from a good pharmacy, the latest in ski and snowboard equipment or even a massive Cuban cigar if you just pulled off your first 360!

Whether you are shopping for an engagement ring or a plasma TV, chance are you can buy it here!

The Mall is ultra-modern and completely undercover if the weather turns nasty and boasts a fantastic top-floor piano bar with a huge terrace looking straight over the mountains which is probably the best view in Bansko.

Below the Piano bar is Aromatica the Mall's restaurant and there are even child care facilities.

Aromatica and the Piano Bar

The top floor of the mall is devoted to the Piano Bar (with a full sized Grand Piano of course) offering an uber relaxed environment if you have had enough of the clubs and busy bars the rest of the town has to offer.

It's perfect location and height means that the massive terrace of the Piano Bar offers the best views of the town and surrounding mountains in resort and is especially suited to apres-ski cocktails as the sun goes down. Below the Piano Bar is Aromtaica, the Mall's eatery which offers a wide selection of "lite bites" to more substantial meals (as well as a kids menu) to help you keep your strength up whilst you are shopping.

The kids play area below is handy as well if your "little darlings" get bored of your company and they need some entertaining!

Children's Play Area

The kids play area below the Aromatica is perfect for all ages (even us over the age of 30!).

Plans to open a full crèche facility for all day child care are soon to come to fruition but for now the little skiers and riders will have to make do with the most modern of arcade games, air hockey and even a bouncy castle!

Not bad if you are just trying to keep them occupied for a couple of hours while you enjoy the retail experience!

Starting from the underground basement level you have TechnoMarket. Long over due, Bansko finally has a national electrical chain which can supply everything from an air conditioner to a washing machine meaning that new holiday home owners don't have to travel miles just to get their apartment kitted out!

Above TechnoMarket on the ground floor is a selection of shops offering everything from Cuban cigars to a supermarket. There are also gold and silver shops, a pharmacy  and even an international book shop in case you forgot your best seller when you were packing.

The floor above hosts a number of fashion brands where you can buy anything from that slinky "little black dress" to a suite (why you need a suite in Bansko I don't know) or even the latest designer footwear.

There is also one of the best retailers for ski and snowboard ware and equipment at BAS. These guys know what they are talking about and if you are serious about your kit we suggest you pay them a visit.
