Chepelare does not have the wide choice of dining options that it's big brother Pamporovo has just up the road. But remember, Pamporovo is just up the road so if you are looking for options which stretch further than traditional Bulgarian cooking you do not have far to go.

What you do get in Chepelare however, is a fine choice of local fayre at prices that will surprise most skiers and boarders who are usually happy to pay four or five times the price for quality food in other European resorts.

So in short, although you may find it tricky to find sushi or an English breakfast in Chepelare you will find it a few minutes up the road but for those happy with the wonderful Bulgarian national options on offer, they will be in their element!
