As you would expect from a hill with only one lift, Dobrinishte is nowhere near as extensive as its big brother Bansko next door. However, with an aver age incline of 25 per cent, its big 5,000m run to the base station (approximately…it could be longer!) Dobrinishte is a cracker not to be missed!
With lift prices around 50-70% cheaper than Bansko next door and no two-hour queue to get up the lift on busy days, this offers a genuine alternative for those who have skied out Bansko.
Nice steep runs make this ideal for slalom skiers and riders looking to push their comfort zone.
Popular with locals, it can get busy on weekends but, despite the old looking lift, it actually shifts a fair amount of people, so queues are rarely too long.
The tree-lined slopes also offer a variation on a theme for those going off-piste into the woods which will keep most people happy for a day or two who ride or ski to a decent level.
Dobrinishte is just a great hill! Any expansion of its slope will obviously be met by protests from the green lobby but it has massive potential to compete with the "Big Three" in time!
