Just down the road (12km) from Smolyan is a freestyler’s heaven!

The municipality website is so geared towards snowboarders and freestylers who want to play in the park that it sounds like the mayor is an ex-pro!

This is a small village that promotes itself as the “Snowboard Park of Bulgaria”! The town has not been over-developed and seems to exist for those tourists wanting air!

At 1050m above sea level and with a very short ski run it wouldn’t be the first place you’d want to head if you’re looking for free riding opportunities but not everyone is!

This is a good option if on a road trip and may be a good (and cheap) ski station to head to if you are looking to develop your freestyle skills away from the many prying (and often judgmental) eyes of your fellow riders and skiers.

“We can offer winter parties in the open to the high adrenaline fans  ...”  - That is a quote from their municipality website!

Weekends are very busy here (24/7) but this is where the cool kids in the know hang out!

Don’t miss out if you are one of those people that enjoy being upside down or want to learn! We found there was a really strong community vibe in this place so we do strongly recommend you check it out even if just for the day.
