Pamporovo has had the "benefit" of the recent construction boom yet does not feel quite as over-crowded as somewhere like Bansko does in areas.

This means two things. Good quality accommodation and at low prices.

There are a number of older hotels right in the center of the village which outside the very busy holiday periods can offer extremely good value for money but our advice is to keep away from any "all inclusive" deals as the food, cooked for the masses on the cheap, is often very unimpressive.

Self catering should also be considered but be careful if you are not hiring a car as some of the apart-hotels you can opt for do not offer shuttles to the lift and it can often take over 30 minutes to reach the base station which is not much fun if you are wearing ski boots and carrying skis/snowboard/children/alcohol.
