As with the majority of the ski stations in this area, Panichishte has little choice when it comes to where to eat.
It is true to say that this ski station is more suited to international tourists than most of the smaller options in Bulgaria due to there being a well developed infrastructure for a few modern hotels with restaurants on the mountain itself but most people tend to head down the mountain road (good quality) to Sapereva Banya itself.
Although there is a lot more choice in the spa town regarding the actual number of restaurants the majority of menus is limited to traditional Bulgarian offerings which we found (on the whole) to be excellent as well as one or two fast food joints that also offer pizza and other "junk food".
Foodies will want to push back to Sofia for fine dinning whilst anyone looking for a little more variety should head towards the pricier Borovets ski resort for a fill up.
