This ski station is pretty small, having only four km of piste (the longest being 1100m long) and is completely serviced by eight antiquated drag lifts.
The harder runs are on the northern slopes but to be honest more experienced skiers and riders will get bored after a day or two on the slopes here.
Semkovo is therefore particularly suitable to families, especially families with young learners as there is very little to intimidate a new skier or boarder at Semkovo and the price for a days lift pass is laughably low.
There are one or two options when it comes to ski and snowboard schools but don't forget local pros are more used to teaching Bulgarians that international visitors so unless you fancy a day long ski and language lesson you may want to check that your instructor will speak English before booking many lessons.
