Uzana is 22km from Gabravo, which is billed as “the funniest town” in Bulgaria, and has an annual comedy festival that attracts people from all over the world.

Gabrovo is a great base because it has pretty much everything you need once you have finished at the ski station down the road.

Built with the help of the Swiss, this hill has a beautiful setting right at the geographical center of the country which is enough to attract many people.

However, low altitude and relatively few choices in runs may make the more discerning skier opt to move on after a day or so.
